Asked Question
-
How does the process work?
We tap the trees to collect a small amount from each tree and with the help of 15 miles of tubing. We connect thge taps to the sap house collection tanks. Then we use reverse osmpsis to remove some of water, before boiling the rest of the sap in our evaporator. Once it is at the right density, we filter the syrup and hot pack it into drums to stored until the season is over. Then we heat it up one drum at a time and re-filter, verify the density, and put it into bottles and jugs ready to be sold. Each bottle ishand filled and capped so our family does the whole process, from the tap to the cap!
